Methods of Giving

Donations and sponsorships are not only an investment, but they represent the ultimate show of teamwork. We are able to provide assistance only because of the collective effort of a team of contributors. Only together can communities, corporations, individuals and student-athletes build strong, successful programs. There are many different ways you can help us build success.

Cash Gift - Donations by cash or check are the cost common forms of annual support.
Credit Cards - The SFA Varsity Club and the SFA Athletic Ticket Office currently accept Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express
Matching Gifts - Many companies will match the contributions of their employees, doubling the impact of your personal donation. You receive credit for the total amount. Contact your employer's human resources department for information about their matching gift program, and obtain the proper forms.
Gifts of Investment - The Varsity Club, in partnership with the SFASU Foundation, Inc. and the SFA Alumni Association, also accepts many special forms of donation such as appreciated securities, real estate and tangible personal assets.
Gifts of Will - Donors can leave a legacy of charity by making a bequest to SFA Athletics in their will.
Endowments - An endowment is a donation, which is invested, and the interest generated from the principle is used to fund an athletic scholarship. Donors who provide a gift to fund an endowment have the opportunity to link permanently their name or a loved one's to SFA Athletics. There are currently many endowment opportunities through the SFA Alumni Association.
Life Income Gifts - Charitable Remainder Trusts and Gift Annuities are two more ways a donor can provide support for SFA Athletics that retain an income for a fixed period of time, or even for life. These giving vehicles can be funded through cash, securities or real estate. There may also be advantageous tax benefits as well.
Gifts of Kind - Instead of cash gifts, the SFA Varsity Club can accept goods and services which represent savings to our athletic budget. All Gift-In-Kind must be approved by the Director of Athletics.
