Why Choose the MPA Program at SFA?
The Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program at Stephen F. Austin State University offers an outstanding educational opportunity in East Texas. Students can remain viable parts of the public and private sector workforces as they complete night classes on campus and through online instruction. Graduate assistants are provided opportunities to gain administrative, research and teaching experiences.
With the capstone course (PBA 575), all graduates of the MPA program at SFA will be able to demonstrate viable research skills that are important in both academic and applied settings. Pre-service students may be required to serve as an intern under the direction of a faculty advisor and agency supervisor. Internships allow students to demonstrate valuable and sought after skills, while allowing the student to prepare for the future as a part of an administration team.
The SFA MPA provides an intimate, focused program set within the piney woods of East Texas. Your graduate education with us may only last a few brief years, but we are devoted to ensuring you graduate prepared for a rewarding career.
