Description: The house was remodeled in 1946 at which time a solid foundation was installed replacing the original piers. Through the year additional improvements have been made including additions and an enclosed screened porch for a den. Another addition at the rear has been added with smooth siding as part of the car garage.

Significance: The house was built in 1908 by George Blackburn, former Sheriff of Nacogdoches Country, and was used as his private home in the country. All the walls meet at approximately 130 degree angles, which leaves no corners within the house, making the architectural design very unique.
