Do you want to enhance students' higher-order thinking and overall academic success? Do you want to develop your vitae with student collaborations and/or evidence of scholarship in your field? If so, you might be interested in participating in a High-Impact Practice Faculty Learning Community. The next Faculty Learning Community platform is Collaborative Learning. This HIP platform is designed for those who teach core classes, and its purpose is to expose freshman students to higher order thinking skills.

The project is a two semester commitment (Spring 2016 and Fall 2017). The first semester prepares participants for implementing their project; the second semester is the implementation of their plan. Both semesters feature regular dialogue with a multi-disciplinary team of colleagues about the following topics: enhancing students' higher-order thinking skills; incorporating high-impact practices in our work with students; and developing & implementing collaborative learning activities in core courses.
