Student Organization
The Fashion Merchandising Club is a student organization with membership open to students who select fashion merchandising as their major or minor. An annual membership fee is required for membership. The organization has monthly business meetings and occasional socials. A major project is to encourage students to attend an annual career day in the spring sponsored by Fashion Group International, Inc. of Dallas and held at the International Apparel Mart in Dallas, Texas. In conjunction with the career day, a dinner is hosted for SFASU fashion students and alumni in the Dallas area. The club gives students opportunities to develop leadership skills by serving as an officer or a committee member.
