Facility Transfer Procedures
If you need help, visit our website or call 468-5999 on September 2 from 9AM - 6PM!
Spring 2009 - Facility transfers will only be offered if space is available.
Facility transfers will be available on January 23, 2009. Students can participate in facility transfers through the Housing Services section of the MySFA website. Students will need to have completed their contract and have the full $100.00 housing deposit on file by Thursday, midnight in order to participate in facility transfers. Facility transfer schedule is based on classification as follows:
- Senior/Graduate - 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Junior - 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Sophomore - 2:00 p.m. –;6:00 p.m.
- Freshman - 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
You can check your classification through your mySFA account.
Please call our Facility Transfer Hotline at 936-468-5999 if you have questions or need assistance, which will be available on January 23, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. All students participating in facility transfers must have moved by 7:00 p.m. Sunday January 25, 2009.
Steps to complete a facility transfer:
- Log in to mySFA
- Click on myServices
- Click on Housing Services
- Log in to Housing Services using mySFA Username and PIN
- At the bottom of the page, you will click the "FACILITY TRANSFERS" link
- At this time you will complete a search for the building and unit that you want.
- When you have completed this search and selected an available unit, for which you meet the qualifications, you will have successfully changed your housing assignment!

ONCE YOU REQUEST A FACILITY TRANSFER, YOU MUST COMPLETE THE TRANSFER BECAUSE YOUR CURRENT UNIT MAY NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE.
Please note:
If you choose a unit in Garner Apartments you will be defaulted to the 9-month contract period (August 21, 2008 - May 31, 2009). If you choose a unit in Garner Apartments and wish to have the 12-month contract period (August 21, 2008 - August 15, 2009) please contact us at housing@sfasu.edu.
If you choose a unit at University Woods Apartments, this summer, you will be charged housing for the summer months whether or not you have enrolled for classes or have officially checked-in.
