HOUSING APPLICATION CHECKLIST
Please read the information below to ensure you have completed the steps to apply for housing.
1. Apply for admission to the university at http://www.sfasu.edu/. IMPORTANT FALL 2007 & SPRING 2008 APPLICANTS: The Admissions Office will mail you your mySFA credentials, therefore, before proceeding to the Fall 2007/Spring 2008 housing application you need to have received your mySFA credentials to continue in the process.

Fall 2007:
IMPORTANT FALL 2007 APPLICANTS: The Admissions Office will mail you your mySFA credentials, therefore, before proceeding to the Fall 2007 housing application you need to have received your mySFA credentials to continue in the housing application process.
Log into mySFA, click on myServices and then log into Housing Services to complete the Housing Application.
Spring 2008:
IMPORTANT SPRING 2008 APPLICANTS: The Admissions Office will mail you your mySFA credentials, therefore, before proceeding to the SPRING 2008 housing application you need to have received your mySFA credentials to continue in the process. Log into mySFA, click on myServices and then log into Housing Services to complete the Housing Application.
3. Send the first $50 deposit online with a credit card when you submit the application.
4. Once your application and deposit are received and processed by the Residence Life Department, you will receive an email to your SFA email address welcoming you to the SFA housing community.
5. After the facility assignments are completed (June for fall assignments, December for spring assignments and May for summer assignments), you will receive instructions to complete the housing contract with the second $50 deposit and then view your assignment. Assignments will only be given to students who have been admitted to the university.
6. To complete the contract, you can access www.sfasu.edu and click on the mySFA icon where you can log in and proceed to housing services and complete the contract with the second $50 deposit by the deadline.
Fall: July15 is the deadline to cancel your housing reservations if you wish to get your deposit refunded.
Spring: December 15 is the deadline to cancel your housing reservations if you wish to get your deposit refunded.
Summer 1 & 2: May 10 is the deadline to cancel your housing reservations if you wish to ge tyour deposit refunded.

Note:
Once the housing application, initial $50 deposit, the housing contract and second $50 deposit have been received and processed, you must receive your housing assignment before you can begin your on-campus check in.
