SFA's Meridius Spam Quarantine Service Info
Getting Started

Sample of New
Account Message
So, how does one get started using this service? It's automatic. As soon as the first e-mail addressed to you is suspected to be spam, you will receive a message that it has been quarantined and that an account has been created for you. The message will tell you what your account name is (it's your SFA supplied e-mail address) and what your initial password is (something randomly generated). Click on the link to the left to see a sample of this message.

The first thing you should do once you get logged in to Meridius is change your password to something easy for you to remember. You should also set a security question and answer. If you don't set this question and answer, then it will be easy for anyone to reset your password whenever they want. While not really a security risk, it could become quite annoying for you. There is also a display option. This determines how many messages per page are displayed. One more option on the preferences page is the ability to disable notification messages. The notification lets you know if you have new messages held as spam since the last time you were notified. Click the link on the left to preview the preferences page.

E-mail Messages:
- Send password
- Reset password
If you do set the secret question and answer, you will be able to retrieve your SFA Meridius Quarantine Account password if you ever forget it. The password will be sent to your SFA supplied e-mail address. As was stated in the previous paragraph, if you do not set a secret question and answer, you can request your password but it will not send you your current password. It will, instead, reset your password to something new. Click on the links to the left to see screen shots for requesting your password and the e-mail messages you will receive depending on whether your password was reset or your current password was sent.
