Nacogdoches may be a small town, but we’re big on food. Whether you’re coming to SFA from a large Texas city like Houston or Dallas, or even another state entirely, you’ll find the perfect selection of chain restaurants and coffee shops to make you feel at home.
The best part? Many are within walking distance. You’ll find plenty of familiar food options right across from campus on North Street, which is our “main drag.”
Craving barbecue or burgers? In the mood for sushi or shawarma?
There’s more to Nacogdoches than fast food and chain restaurants – and our diverse and unique food scene offers a little something for everyone.
And if you’re not sure what to try first (and we don’t blame you – there are so many choices!), you can check out what your fellow Lumberjacks recommend. In a recent survey, SFA students weighed in on their favorite local eats.

Eating on campus
You don’t even have to leave campus to find great food. Stop for a bite at one of SFA’s two main dining halls, or drop by the Baker Pattillo Student Center, which is home to several popular chains including Panda Express, Starbucks and Which Wich.
