Lumberjacks are happy campers

If you’d like to get away for a night or two and take in the gorgeous natural settings surrounding our campus, you’ll find plenty of great camping spots in the Nacogdoches area.

When you camp around here, you have access to lush forested areas, hike and bike trails, lakes and rivers and all sorts of recreational sites. Remember to always follow Leave No Trace principles while participating in outdoor recreation.

Clinics and equipment rentals

If you’re interested in getting a bit more adventurous, or expanding your camping skills, SFA’s Outdoor Pursuits program offers trips throughout the year that can help you do both.

If you’d like to go camping, but you’re not ready to invest in equipment, don’t let that stop you from experiencing the resources this area has to offer. Outdoor Pursuits offers equipment rentals from tents, sleeping bags and stoves to backpacks and mountain bikes.
