Non-Confidential Reporting Options

Reporting Options

It is important to remember that there are generally two avenues to report behaviors covered in the Sexual Misconduct policy. You may file a report with a university official regarding a policy violation for sexual harassment, gender discrimination, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. If the offense is also a criminal violation you may file a complaint with the appropriate law enforcement agency. The Title IX Coordinators can assist you with reporting policy violations and the University Police Department can assist you filing a criminal complaint.

The SFA Department of Public Safety has jurisdiction over crimes that occur on campus and no matter the location of the incident, SFA University Police can assist in filing a report with the appropriate law enforcement agency.
