Reporting to the University
If you would like to file a complaint with the University for a violation of the Title IX Policy (2.13) or Nondiscrimination Policy (2.11), you may contact the Title IX Coordinator or the appropriate Deputy Coordinator listed below. All complaints regarding sexual misconduct will eventually need to be submitted in writing through the online reporting system. The Misconduct Reporting Form can be used to initiate a complaint or can be used as a guide for the types of information that are helpful in the investigation of a sexual misconduct allegation. You can also submit a report online using Sexual Misconduct Reporting Form if you, or someone you know, has been impacted by a potential violation. If you are a university employee, and there for a Mandatory Reporter and Responsible Employee, you can submit a report online through the Responsible Employee Reporting Form to fulfill your reporting requirements. Reporting to Law Enforcement
In addition to reporting a policy violation to one of the Title IX Coordinators, you may also file criminal complaints for sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking, to the appropriate law enforcement agency that would have jurisdiction based on where the violation occurred. The SFA Department of Public Safety has jurisdiction over crimes that occur on campus and no matter the location of the incident, SFA University Police can assist in filing a report with the appropriate law enforcement agency.
