Linda Thorsen Bond, Ph.D.

Dr. Linda Thorsen Bond teaches advertising and social media in the Department of Mass Communication. She annually accompanies Meet the Media classes to London, New York, Boston, Chicago or LA. She is the faculty advisor of AdHoc, SFA's award-winning chapter of the American Advertising Federation.
Dr. Bond presents research on convergence, collaborative learning, student organizations, advertising and media at national and international conferences. She has had articles in the Sage Publishing Encyclopedia of Sports Management and Marketing, a book, "Women Negotiating Collaborative Learning: Making The Grade" and she is a certified online instructor at SFA.
Dr. Bond has worked in almost all parts of the communications business and written for Women's Wear Daily, W, USA Today, Family Circle, Texas Monthly, Texas Highways, Australian Women's Day, Sunset Magazine and other magazines. Her photos have been in publications such as Newsweek and USA Today. She hosted a live television talk show for a CBS affiliate, has been in hundreds of TV and radio commercials and has given countless speeches and workshops.
She earned degrees from Texas Tech, the University of Texas at the Permian Basin and Texas A&M College Station.
