Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Radio/Television

The major in RTV consists of 36 semester hours, of which at least 18 must be advanced. Students with a major in Radio/Television may choose either the BA or the BS. Required courses are:

MCM 101 Communication in Contemporary Society
MCM 112 Introduction to Radio/TV
MCM 212 Audio Production
MCM 302 Television Production
MCM 319 Practicum (1 hour each, 3 hours required)
MCM 421 Writing for Radio/TV
MCM 442 Radio/TV Programming

In addition, students take 15 additional hours in a concentration of news, production, or sales/mangement, 6 hours of which must be advanced.
