T. Phillip Madison

Phillip Madison is from San Angelo, Texas and lives with his wife and two children in Nacogdoches, TX.
His professional experience includes radio production/sales, institutional advancement, fundraising management, and public relations. He received his Bachelor in Advertising/Spanish and Master of Mass Communication from Texas Tech University before pursuing a Doctorate of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University.
At LSU he taught visual communication for two years, focusing on Photoshop, InDesign, and Dreamweaver.
His research agenda revolves around studying media effects as functions of human imagination, with special focus on imagined interaction and parasociability.
On August 12, 2013 he successfully defended his dissertation (tentatively) titled "Polygamy is creepy, wrong, and sick! (However, I find it fascinating!): Parasocial comparison, processing, contact hypothesis, and polygamy."
