The Office of Multicultural Affairs is committed to enhancing the campus climate of Stephen F. Austin State University by assisting student organizations with programming efforts that target issues related to ability, status, age, ethnicity, gender, national origin, native language, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic background. We believe student organizations play a significant role in creating an environment in which the benefits of diversity and social justice can be realized.

Purpose of the OMA Program Funding Request

The OMA is looking for student programs that focus on the following programmatic objectives for the office:

These programmatic objectives supplement SFA's campus climate. Campus climate relates to the inclusive nature of college campuses. It is about the prevalent environmental conditions on campuses such as events, messages, symbols, core beliefs and feelings that allow the campus community to express all of who they are.

In order to request funding, an organization representative must do the following:

OMA student organizations must abide by the following timeline in order to receive funding for their programs. This timeline was created with University Policies and Procedures in mind in order for the appropriate steps to happen.Requests for may be submitted via online at or in person in the 3rd Floor of the BPSC room 3.100.
