Students may be admitted each fall and spring semester based on completion of prerequisites and attainment of admission criteria. Admission is competitive based upon the applicant's overall GPA (2.5 or above) and science GPA (2.75 or above), Science requirements must be completed with in the last 7 years. Students must also complete a required nursing entrance test. At the present time, the entrance test that is being given is the TEAS.

The exam can be scheduled to be taken at the Testing Services here : http://www.sfasu.edu/ccs/testing/

***Please note: Starting Spring 2018, Pathophysiology must be taken at a 4 year institution. A community college or junior college course will not suffice for this credit requirement.

Here are other Admission requirements in a document form: AdmissionRequirements.doc

The number of students admitted may vary due to Board of Nursing (BON) requirements of student-to-instructor ratios. To be considered for admission review, the student must have applied and be admitted to the University.
