1. Advances in treatment options have made cancer a more controllable disease.
2. How the patient and family are told Cabot cancer diagnosis and how they are supported through treatment and long-term follow-up are critical to adherence and compliance.
3. Demystifying the fear associated with the word cancer and creating systems that facilitate access to care for all patients will continue to be central to nurses' advocacy role.
