Who Can I Contact for Help?
The Office of International Programs is happy to help all students with any assistance that they may need. Should you find yourself struggling with cultural adjustment, or you simply don't know how to find your next class, our staff is always willing to help. Please feel free give us a call at (936) 468-6631 or just stop by our office. We're located on the 4th floor of the Liberal Arts North (Vera Dugas) Building, in room #402. Office hours are Monday - Friday from 8am-5pm.
Services provided include: Letter preparation, I-20 and Visa Advising, OPT Advising, Health Insurance, International Student Advising and much, much more!

University Police Department
The University Police Department is a team of professionals working to provide a safe environment in which the educational mission of Stephen F. Austin State University can be fully realized. The University Police Department is service-oriented and tailored to meet the needs of a progressive institution. They provide crime prevention and control, criminal investigations, traffic and parking supervision, emergency services, the maintenance of public order, patrol, and other related services.
Services provided include: Escorts and Evening Shuttle Bus Service, Vehicle Assists, Emergency Call Boxes, and Crime Prevention Programs. For more information on any of these services, please visit their website: http://www.sfasu.edu/upd/index.asp
The University Police Department office is located at 232 E. College Street. The department is open for normal business between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is an officer on duty 24 hours a day. Person requiring assistance or reporting a crime may contact the University Police Department by (936) 468-2608 24 hours a day. The call will be answered by a University Police dispatcher, who is in radio contact with University Police officers.
In case of an emergency, University Police may be reached by dialing "911".
Counseling & Career Services
The Counseling and Career Services staff assists students to develop a positive self-image, discover career goals, develop a sense of self-direction and prepare for careers in their chosen fields.
