Minimum Length of Courses (A-14)

Stephen F. Austin State University requires that each course (except individual instruction) offered for degree credit shall conform, in format, to the rules and regulations of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

Permission to offer a course in a shortened format must be given by the appropriate academic dean and the provost and vice president for academic affairs, who shall determine that the format and content make it appropriate for shortened duration and that the quality of the course is equal to or better than a course offered under a regular format. Students enrolled in such courses must meet regular university admissions requirements.
