You are here either as a student interested in beginning the journey toward a professional career or a current student wishing to gain information about professional school application procedures. It is our hope, that this website will provide answers and directions to all your questions and assist you toward your goals.
It is the mission of the pre health professions program to mentor and guide students toward successful matriculation into the professional program of their choosing through:
- Effective and timely advising of prerequisite courses;
- Facilitation of professional experience opportunities (shadowing);
- Strict adherence to GPA standards;
- Maintenance of high standards for service, leadership and professionalism.
Many of the most commonly asked questions are addressed in the links located to the left side of the page. These range from questions on prerequisites, to questions about an appropriate or the "best Major". You will also find links to descriptions of what makes a "successful applicant". However, while we make our best efforts to anticipate each and every question, that is often impossible. If you do not find the answer to your inquiry, please find our contact information on the right side of the page and please allow us to assist you personally.
Thank you for visiting our page, for your interest in Stephen F. Austin and in our pre health professions programs. We look foward to being a part of your future and successful career!
