The president and co-founder of a leadership consulting firm will be the featured speaker for the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce Fourth Friday Luncheon at noon Dec. 8 at the Fredonia Hotel.

Dr. Timothy Clipson, a Stephen F. Austin State University professor who teaches courses in executive communication and leadership, also coordinates the university’s freshman success program.

With his consulting firm, Life!, Clipson has presented programs dedicated to improving the quality of life and leadership across the United States, in Canada, and in countries including Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France and Belgium.

Clipson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and social sciences from Southern Nazarene University, a master’s degree from the University of North Texas and a doctorate from in business communication from Oklahoma State University. He joined the SFA faculty in 1981 and has been named Outstanding Professor by Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor society for SFA business students.
