SFA library announces special holiday hours

Amy Roquemore – December 18, 2007

You recognize the signs – glassy-eyed stares and one-word responses to any attempt by parents to initiate meaningful conversation.

If your children are exhibiting symptoms of Christmas vacation brain melt due to all-day TV marathons and non-stop video gaming, you might want to take advantage of Steen Library’s special holiday hours.

The library at Stephen F. Austin State University will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, Dec. 21, as well as Wednesday through Friday, Jan. 2-4, and Monday through Friday, Jan. 7-11. Regular library hours will resume Jan. 14.

The library can be found near the center of campus, just west of Wilson Drive and adjacent to the Stephen F. Austin statue. Children’s books are located in the Curriculum Collection on the fourth floor in the open area behind the elevators.

Librarians are available to assist library patrons in locating books and other materials. Books borrowed from Steen Library may be returned to the Nacogdoches Public Library, and vice versa.

For additional information, call (936) 468-4636 or visit the library Web site at http://libweb.sfasu.edu/.
