SFA to present guest flute recital

Flutist Stephanie Jutt will present a guest flute recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus. Admission is free and open to the public.

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts and School of Music will present Stephanie Jutt in a guest flute recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, in Cole Concert Hall. Ron Petti, SFA assistant professor of mausic, will provide piano accompaniment.

Jutt, professor of flute at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Petti will perform Carl Reinecke's Sonata "Undine" for flute and piano and C.P.E. Bach's "Hamburger Sonata."

Flutist Christina Guenther, SFA assistant professor of music, will join Jutt and Petti in presenting W.A. Mozart's "Symphonia Concertante for two flutes and piano."

Jutt has given recitals in cities around the world, including Paris, Rome, Munich, Hong Kong, Los Angeles and New York.

"Stephanie was my teacher for the first year of my doctoral work at Florida State University," said Guenther. "She is an incredible flutist and a fun and energetic pedagogue with a lot to share with our students. She will be giving two master classes while she is on campus."
