SFA art professor's watercolors to be shown

"River Rocks," a 12 inch by 12 inch watercolor on paper completed by Peter Andrew in 2007, will be included in "Peter Andrew: Landscape Colors." The exhibition will run Tuesday, Feb. 19, through Saturday, Feb. 23, in SFA's Griffith Gallery.

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - Watercolors by Peter Andrew, SFA professor of art, will be exhibited Tuesday, Feb. 19, through Saturday, Feb. 23, in Griffith Gallery, located in the Griffith Fine Arts Building on the SFA campus.

The paintings included in "Peter Andrew: Landscape Colors" use color to represent the effects of light in the landscape, the artist explained.

Andrew, who heads the SFA advertising design program, has over 50 solo and over 200 group exhibitions to his credit. His art is currently represented by galleries in Houston, Austin, New Orleans and Santa Fe, N.M. He has exhibited by invitation at the past two presidential inaugural galas in Washington, D.C., and he has exhibited annually for over ten years at the New York Society of Illustrators, where he is a member.

Griffith Gallery will be open 12:30 to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. The exhibition is a joint presentation of the SFA College of Fine Arts and School of Art. For more information, please call (936) 468-1131.
