NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts and School of Music will present Troy Paolantonio in a guest flute recital at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, in the Music Recital Hall of the SFA Wright Music Building.

Christina Guenther, SFA assistant professor of flute, said she invited Paolantonio to campus because of his specialty in contemporary flute music. "Troy and I went to school together at Florida State University, and I liken his performances to rock concerts. The audience will be awed and inspired by his showmanship, stage presence and musicianship."

Paolantonio will perform Charles Delaney's "Variations of an English Folk Song," Robert Dick's "Techno Yaman" and two works by Ian Clarke: "The Great Train Race" and "Zoom Tube." Ron Petti, SFA director of accompaniment, will join Paolantonio in presenting Christopher Caliendo's "Sonata No. 1" and Robert Maggio's "Fluano Piano."

Admission to the recital is free and open to the public. The Wright Music Building is located at 2210 Alumni Drive. For more information, please call (936) 468-6407 or (888) 240-ARTS.
