Stephen F. Austin State University regents welcomed visitors to the newest residence hall on the campus, Lumberjack Lodge. The hall is the first residence hall built on the campus since 1985 and houses more than 300 SFA students. Fred Wulf of Center, chair of the board of regents, said construction of another residence hall, Lumberjack Village, will begin soon on Clark Boulevard. A ribbon cutting ceremony for the Aikman Drive Parking Garage, located adjacent to Lumberjack Lodge, also was held.
Construction of a student recreation center at Stephen F. Austin State University officially began Wednesday when regents participated in a groundbreaking ceremony.
