Dr. Kim Archer, Stephen F. Austin State University assistant professor of kinesiology and health sciences, was a featured speaker at the annual convention of the Texas Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance held recently in Corpus Christi. Archer's presentation dealt with the effects of nutrition education and body image curriculum on female college students and their self-esteem. Archer holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Missouri at Columbia and a doctorate from the University of Kansas at Lawrence. She has been a member of the SFA faculty since July 2005.
