Andrea Taylor, branch chair of the local chapter of the National Association of Social Work, presented the Social Worker of the Year award to Wilma Cordova, a lecturer in the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Social Work and sponsor of the Student Association of Social Work. The Public Citizen of the Year award was presented to Terri Moehring for her work in the Nacogdoches area assisting evacuees of Hurricane Rita. The presentations were made at SFA as part of its celebration of National Professional Social Work Month.
