SFA to host annual Easter Egg Hunt

March 17, 2008 - Shirley Luna

The Pineywoods Native Plant Center and Forest Resources Institute at Stephen F. Austin State University will host the eighth annual Tucker Memorial Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 22, at 2900 Raguet St.

“The Tucker family historically held an Easter egg hunt for community children, and this tradition has been revived by SFA staff and volunteers,” said Elyce Rodewald, education coordinator. “There will be an egg hunt, and Smokey Bear will be on hand to help us celebrate.”

Children should bring their own basket and must be accompanied by an adult. Festivities will begin with registration at 9:30 a.m., and the egg hunt begins promptly at 10.
