The Piney Woods Youth Orchestra, pictured on the right, will present its end-of-the-year concert at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 8, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus. Under the direction of Dr. Evgeni Raychev and Dr. Jennifer Dalmas, the orchestra will perform Kirt Mosier's "Baltic Dance" and the first movement of W.A. Mozart's "Little Night Music."
Emily Alders, piano student of Linda Parr, will be the featured soloist in the first movement of W.A. Mozart's "Concerto for Piano and Orchestra." The orchestra is composed of students enrolled in the Stephen F. Austin State University School of Music's Music Preparatory Division. The concert is free and open to the public.
