SFA jazz band to perform at Harlon's

Deb Scott, assistant professor of music at Stephen F. Austin State University, directs the Swingin' Aces during a recent concert. The jazz band will provide entertainment at Harlon's Bar-B-Que Saturday, Dec. 2, beginning at 8 p.m.
NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - The Swingin' Aces, one of Stephen F. Austin State University's jazz bands, will be performing at Harlon's Bar-B-Que Saturday, Dec. 2.
Beginning at 8 p.m., the band will play a combination of big band,
blues, funk and contemporary jazz tunes. During the band's breaks, a
disc jockey will provide music. Entertainment will continue through
midnight or 1 a.m.
"Harlon is excited to be bringing an SFA group to his venue, and we're excited to have a real gig," said Deb Scott, SFA assistant professor of music and the band's director. "We invite everyone to come out for an evening of good music, dancing and food."
Harlon's Bar-B-Que is located at 603 Old Tyler Road. Cover charge is $5.
