NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Future college freshmen can get a preview of university life when Stephen F. Austin State University hosts Showcase Saturday, an open house program, on Nov. 10.

Event registration will begin at noon on the first floor of the Baker Pattillo Student Center. Each person who registers will receive a free gift and information packet. The program begins at 1 p.m. with an overview of the day’s events. Guests will have the opportunity to visit with academic and student services departments until 4 p.m.

Campus and Residence Hall Tours begin at 1:45 p.m. and continue until 5 p.m. Residence Life staff members will meet guests and begin the tours from the SFA Fountain in front of the Steen Library.

An Academic Fair will be held from 1:45 to 4 p.m. in the Student Recreation Center. Student service department representatives also will be present to provide information.

Admissions counselors will be available in the Rusk Building Room 206 from 1:45 to 5 p.m. Financial aid information sessions begin at 2, 2:45 and 3:30 p.m. in the Nursing and Math Building, Room 101.

Housing information sessions begin at 2, 2:30, 3 and 3:30 p.m. in the McGee Business Building Room 133.

An SFA T-shirt giveaway will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Baker Pattillo Student Center Plaza after completed program evaluations are turned in at the information table.

The Nacogdoches Convention and Visitors Bureau will host an information table from noon to 1 p.m. in the Student Center.
