San Antonio's Witte Museum that will be included in the exhibition "Under the Big Top" opening on Halloween at the Stone Fort Museum on the Stephen F. Austin State University campus. Hours for the Halloween event are 5 to 10 p.m.

A historical exhibit of Texas circuses will open at Stephen F. Austin State University's Stone Fort Museum at 5 p.m. Oct. 31. The opening is part of the museum's Halloween festival.

"Under the Big Top" will feature about 40 images and artifacts from the Witte Museum in San Antonio, including swords used by a sword swallower. Items donated by Nacogdoches residents also will be shown.

The exhibit will be open through the end of December. Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. It is closed on Mondays and holidays.
