"Myth," an inkjet print by Robert Kinsell, is one of the
pieces included in the "SFA Faculty Show" which opens at 6 p.m. Friday,
Nov. 3, in Griffith Gallery on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State
University.
NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - Artwork in a variety of media will be displayed in

Griffith Fine Arts Building Room 208. The show runs through Sunday,
Dec. 10.
"This annual exhibition enables the public to see first-hand the
breadth of talent possessed by our studio art faculty," said Shannon
Bailey, SFA gallery director. "It is always a popular show."
Included in the show are paintings and drawings by Professors Peter
Andrew, Piero Fenci and Robert Kinsell; Visiting Assistant Professor
David Ngirailemesang; Instructor Gary Parker; Post-graduate Fellow
Aloma Marquis; and adjunct faculty members Les Butler and Scott Runnels.

Erpelding, newly appointed assistant professor," Bailey said. "Chad's
work investigates the physical and mental spread of culture on a global
scale through references to maps and charts."
"I hope that my work challenges viewers to consider the relationships
among various environments while questioning their understanding of
place in a global community," Erpelding said.
Erpelding received his Master of Fine Arts in 2-D Studio Art from
Southern Illinois University Carbondale and his Bachelor of Arts from
Central University of Iowa. He also participated in a study abroad
program at Trinity University in Carmarthan, Wales.
