The individual taking property off-campus assumes financial responsibility for the property, up to the full value shown on property records.
Before property is taken off-campus, the person responsible
Must prepare and sign a Removal of Property From Campus Request
Obtain the Department Head’s signature
Forward the completed form to the Property Manager at Box 13030
Before taking the property off-campus.
One-Time Removal/Return
Complete the Removal
of Property From Campus Request any time property will be
taken off-campus for a specific period of time and returned on a specific
date. The dates must be specified on the form.
Follow up audits will be conducted to verify that property is returned to campus on the date specified.
Indefinite Removal/Return
Complete the Removal
of Property From Campus Request once for an entire fiscal
year for property that will be taken on and off campus frequently throughout
the year. Property with an indefinite removal/return date must
be identified with a Removal
of Property From Campus Request completed annually for
each fiscal year, until a specific return date is known.
Follow up audits will be conducted annually each 8/31 to confirm the off-campus location and receipt of a new form for the new fiscal year.
NOTE: The Department Head may require that property be returned to campus during the Annual Property Inventory Audit for visual verification.
