Property On-Line Display

If you experience any difficulty with the search process described below, please contact the Property Managers, Ann Foster, x4618 or Betty Christian, x4412.

 

Departments now have the ability to search for property information on-line. For the search criteria entered, inventoried items will be display as two rows of information as follows:

 

To view property information on-line follow the instructions below:

1. Log in to MySFA
2. Click on the MyServices tab
3. Click on Texas Property Inventory from the list of choices on the left

You may search for any string of characters (alpha and/or numeric) entered into the Name field. Please note that every property item with a character string matching that entered will be displayed.

Property Numbers and Serial Numbers are unique. Department Heads and Department Names are entered in a standard format. Therefore, it is recommended that you search by one of the following.

Property Number - to display the above information for a specific piece of property
Serial Number - to display the above information for a given serial number
Department Head - to display all items with the first OR last name entered
Department Name (Recommended search) - to displayall items with the department name entered

Please note that even these searches may not be perfect. FOR EXAMPLE, a search on 'Purchasing' will display all items on the purchasing department inventory, AND it also displays the building item, which is Physical Plant's responsibility, titled Purchasing & Central Stores.

If you discover any errors via this search mechanism, please contact one of the property managers, Ann Foster, x4618 or Betty Christian, x4412 to make the needed correction. See Adjustment to Department Records for more information on what can and should be updated regularly.

Limited changes can be made to the property information to make the search process more useful. To request this type of change and determine if it can be made, please contact one of the property managers, Ann Foster, x4618 or Betty Christian, x4412.

 

Property On-Line Standard Name Entries

The Department Head Name (first and last) and Department Name are entered into the Property Inventory system in a standard manner. You may search the Texas Property Inventory on-line by any character string, but to retrieve a list of items for a specific department or department head, you should search by one of the following fields.

Please note there may be duplicatons among first or lat names. However, all Department Names are unique. This list is in alphabetical order by Department Name.
