Member Biographies
Mr. Joe Max Green, Chair
Term expires 2009.
Mr. Green received his BBA degree from SFA in 1960. He is Chairman-CEO of Joe Max Green / Insurance Concepts, Nacogdoches, TX. He is regional vice president of the Texas Association of Insurance Agents, and he is a member of the National Council of Insurance Agents. He is also President of The Fredonia Hotel Corporation, past President of the Nacogdoches Booster Club, past President of the Nacogdoches Jaycees, and past President of Piney Woods Country Club. He is a member of the Nacogdoches Rotary Club and the Nacogdoches Economic Development Committee. He is also a former board member of the SFA University Foundation. Mr. Green has been recognized by the university with the SFA Distinguished Alumni Award and has been inducted into the SFA University Hall of Honor. He has been awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship Award by Rotary International and has been recognized by the community as Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year. Joe Max has been married to his wife, Jane, for 45 years. They have two children and three grandchildren. Joe Max and his family are members of First Baptist Church of Nacogdoches where he serves on numerous committees.
