Students wishing to change their mailing address can access mySFA and make the appropriate changes via the Internet or students may update addresses by appearing in person at the Registrar's Office, Rusk Building, Room 202, during normal business hours; photo ID required. Students should apply 1 or 2 semesters before their anticipated graduation.

When is graduation?
Stephen F. Austin holds three commencement exercises a year, December, May
and August. For actual dates, check the University Calendar.

How much are graduation fees and when are they due?
The Graduation Processing Fee is $25.00 for the Bachelor’s degree and $25.00 for the Master’s or Doctoral degree. This charge is added to your account. View Application Instructions & Deadlines for more information.
When and where do I order and pick up my cap and gown?
If you are planning to participate in the Commencement ceremony, pick up your cap and gown at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore during the month of the deadline for applying for graduation.
Barnes & Noble Bookstore will now have caps and gowns available for pick up at any time after application to graduate is made. We recommend that this be done early in the graduating semester.
What time is graduation and where is it held?
The Commencement Ceremony begins at 9:30 am with the Academic Procession. The Commencement Ceremony is held in the William R. Johnson Coliseum. Candidates for graduation should be at the Coliseum by 8:30 am. For additional information view Commencement Information.
Are Honor Cords provided for graduation? s
The Registrar's Office does not sanction honor cords.

When is the last day for a refund?
Within the first 12 class days of the fall/spring semester or the first 4 class days of the summer term, a student dropping a course is eligible for a refund of applicable tuition and fees for the course dropped, provided the student remains enrolled at the University for that semester.
A student officially withdrawing from the university is eligible for refund of tuition and fees according to the schedule in the General Bulletin.
What is the cost of a transcript?
Current and former students may receive 12 free copies each academic year. Additional copies are $2.00 each.
