On October 31st, ‘History was Never Scarier’ as the Stone Fort Museum takes you on a journey ‘down the rabbit hole’ and ‘through the looking-glass’. Tours of the building will join Alice on her adventures in a Wonderland invented by Lewis Carroll in 1865. The Mad Hatter & the White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat & the Ugly Duchess all await you on this kid-friendly tour of strange characters and fantastic adventures. No ghosts roam through our ‘haunted house’, but there may be some scaredy-cats who wish they could disappear when they meet the Queen of Hearts! Carnival games on the lawn will let you continue the fun with games like flamingo croquet and pin the grin on the Cheshire Cat. Don’t miss your chance to make sense of nonsense on this romp into the past. Festival hours are from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and all activities are free and open to the public.
