Student Activities

Where the Fun Begins!

Student Activities (SA) encourages students to explore campus life and learning beyond the traditional classroom setting. Since nearly 75% of your college experience occurs outside the classroom, SA provides students the opportunity to get involved early and stay involved throughout their tenure at SFA. 

Participation in student organizations and programs is an integral part of the career of a successful student. Membership in student organizations provides students with a sense of accomplishment, enhances leadership skills, and increases personal knowledge of one's individual skills and talents.  SA assists students, as well as student organizations, in the coordination of campus-wide activities, events and celebrations in an effort to build a stronger campus community and to promote interaction among students, faculty, and staff.

Our Mission

Student Activities encourages scholarship as well as student involvement in the SFA community.  These opportunities are purposely designed to improve the quality of the university community and to promote the development of responsible citizens and leaders.

GET INVOLVED! Campus leaders aren’t born, nor are they members of some exclusive club.  You have the power to be a student leader. The necessary skills are developed through experience, role modeling and training.

Student Activities is divided into three major areas:

• Greek Life
• Student Activities Association (SAA)

Ethics Statement

Student Activities ascribes to the ethical standards of the American College Personnel Association (ACPA, College Student Educators International) as stated in the Statement of Ethical Principles and Standards.  We also follow the ethical guidelines of the National Association of Campus Activities and Association of Fraternity Advisors.
