The registration fee for Formal Recruitment is $50. It is due when you submit your application form online. The costs associated with the individual chapters after joining vary from sorority to sorority. We highly encourage potential new members to ask about financial costs of each chapter during the first round of Recruitment. It is a very common topic of conversation, and should not be an awkward question.
SFA Panhellenic sororities do not require you to provide them with recommendations. If you have chapter alumnae volunteering to provide you with a recommendation, please have them mail them the
SFA Panhellenic Association:
Att. NAME OF CHAPTER THEY ARE SENDING THE RECOMMENDATION TO
SFA Box 13029
Nacogdoches TX 75962
Ultimately, it is the responsibility of each sorority to obtain a recommendation for you.
Recruitment counselors are carefully selected sorority members who are there to support you through the Recruitment process. Recruitment Counselors are sorority women who are very knowledgeable about sorority life and have gone through extensive training to help you.
SFA’s Recruitment Counselors are Rho Beta Sigma (ΡΒΣ) which stands for Recruitment Big Sister. Your ΡΒΣ should be just that — your big sis, there to help you succeed.
Hazing is absolutely not tolerated, condoned, or accepted in the SFA Greek community. University policies are very specific in prohibiting activities that could lead to such actions. The national policies of each group on campus are also very specific in prohibiting hazing, and the University supports them by enforcing all pertinent policies and laws.
