Freshman Leadership Academy

What is Freshman Leadership Academy?

The premier leadership experience for first-year SFA students. Combined with the SFA 101 curriculum, this course focuses on leadership development through civic engagement.

Freshmen Leadership Academy emphasizes global leadership and service leadership. The academy has a specialized SFA 101 class that meets from 2:00-2:50pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, in the fall semester. In addition to attending class, the academy also require participation in unique leadership and service opportunities. This is an official SFA class so students must be available to attend all scheduled class sessions and complete all assigned work.

The Discrimination Complaints policy (2.11) and the Sexual Misconduct policy (2.13) outline the university's commitment and details the procedures used to investigate complaints.

It is the responsibility of the university president to ensure that SFA and all its constituencies comply with the provisions of this policy and with all federal and state laws, executive orders and regulations regarding non-discrimination.
