Our Membership and Recruitment
Spring 2008 members have just been announced! Congratulations! Membership in The Student Foundation Association is an honor and speaks highly of the character and abilities of the students that are a part of the organization. To be considered, a student must submit an application, transcript, and two letters of recommendation from current faculty or staff within the university community. After the application has been submitted, the student must go through an interview with the Executive Board and Advisors of the Student Foundation. The prospective member must hold and maintain a commutative GPA of at least 2.5, be in good academic standing, posses and display strong leadership abilities and a respect for the history and traditions of SFA, and be willing to serve and represent Stephen F. Austin State University in a manner commensurate with the ideals and values of the organization. Recruitment is held at the beginning of each long semester (Fall and Spring).
