Dr. Jones has published articles, chapters, interviews, and reviews in such venues as Bryn Mawr Classical Review, A Companion to Brian Friel, (Dis)placing Classical Greek Theatre, International Journal of the Classical Tradition, International Review of Modernism, Irish Playwrights: 1880-1995, Journal of Dramatic Theory and Criticism, New England Theatre Journal, Nua: Studies in Contemporary Irish Writing, Pacific Affairs, The Reception of Classical Texts and Images, Theatre InSight, Theatre Journal, and Theatre Survey. He has also presented over 30 papers at regional, national, and international conferences; he has been especially active in the Association for Theatre in Higher Education, where he is currently the Focus Group Representative-Elect for the Theatre History focus group, and has also held offices in the Directing and Theatre as a Liberal Art focus groups and on the Advocacy and Strategic Planning Committees. At SFA he teaches play analysis, theatre history, and other courses; he organized and led a study abroad trip to Dublin in the summer of 2006. He has also worked on over 200 productions as an actor, director, designer, translator, dramaturg, and dialect coach in seven states and two foreign countries. His most recent SFA credits include directing THE SERVANT OF TWO MASTERS and SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR, acting in LA PÉRICHOLE, and providing dramaturgical support for CHINA DOLLS.
