Tintypes (a musical)
by Mary Kyte
with Mel Marvin & Gary Pearle
Directed by Alan Nielsen

Tintypes
is presented through special arrangement with
Music Theatre International (MTI).

This nostalgic but thrillingly subversive musical revue takes us back to the Gilded Age (pre-World War I), when the innocent, slower-paced days are giving way to a bustling world of Robber Barons, automobiles, electricity and the telephone, where American optimism and ingenuity run high, and when society is in turmoil as increased immigration begins to change the nation's ethnic and cultural makeup. The score includes over 40 songs popular from 1890 to 1917.
