Procedures to Request Budget Training
- To request Budget Training, please go to the MyTraining website.
- When you reach the MyTraining website, log in with your SFASU domain log-in.
- Once logged in you will choose 'Class Listings' on the left hand menu. (This will give you all classes offered for training on campus.)
- Select Budget Departmental Training - FIN by clicking on the appropriate date.

Procedures to Process BDT (Budget Department Transfer) in SSB
- Logon to SSB
- Click on "My Services"
- Click on "Self-Service Banner"
- Click on "Finance"
- Click on "Budget Transfer"
- Journal Type - Departmental Budget Transfer (BDT)
- Enter transfer amount
- Enter "S" in Chart field
- Enter Fund, Org, Account, Program and amount that you wish to transfer in the "From" section
- Enter Fund, Org, Account, Program, and amount that you wish to move into in the "To" section
- Keep in mind the numbers for the account fields (O&M is 72B0; student wages is 670140, additional comp professional is 670102, etc.)
- Description should state what you are actually processing, usually a statement such as: "transferring O&M to cover student wages" or "transferring O&M to cover additional compensation" etc.
- Budget period will always be "01"
- Save as template if desired; do NOT check "shared"
- Click on "complete" and a message should appear at the top of the screen that reads: Document JXXXXXXX completed and forwarded to the approval process. Note: If you do not click "complete", no transfer will occur.
Procedures to Process BDR (Budget Department Revenue) in SSB
- Logon to SSB
- Click on "My Services"
- Click on "Self-Service Banner"
- Click on "Finance"
- Click on "Budget Transfer"
- Journal Type - Departmental Budget Revenue (BDR)
- Enter transfer amount (the - amount in the available column, but not more than -10,000 for each transaction)
- Enter "S" in Chart field
- Enter Fund, Org, Account, Program (use R99 in program field for revenue portion), and revenue amount that you wish to budget in the "From" section
- Enter Fund, Org, Account, Program (use normal program number here for expense portion) , and matching amount that you wish to move into O&M (account number for O&M is 72B0) in the "To" section
- Description should state what you are actually processing, usually a statement such as: "Overrealized income" or "Increasing revenue to reflect actual"
- Budget period will always be "01"
- Save as template if desired; do NOT check "shared"
- Click on "complete" and a message should appear at the top of the screen that reads: Document JXXXXXXX completed and forwarded to the approval process.
