Internships

We encourage students to complete an internship for course credit during their junior or senior year. Although students are responsible for finding the internship, our internship coordinators are here to help.

Honor societies and student organizations help students foster business relationships and friendships that extend long after graduation. The Rusche College of Business offers 12 such organizations and societies:

Honor societies

Beta Alpha Psi - an honorary and professional accounting fraternity for undergraduate and graduate students, open to accounting, finance, and information systems majors. Email acctinfo@sfasu.edu for more information.

Beta Gamma Sigma - the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International. Epsilon Chi Omicron - the international business honor fraternity, open to international business majors and minors. Email MgtMkt@sfasu.edu for more information.

Student organizations

Accounting Club - open to all majors interested in accounting, acts as a medium between professionals, instructors and students. Email acctinfo@sfasu.edu for more information.

Economics Reading Group - a literature discussion club open to all students interested in discussing readings on topics related to economics. Email ecofin@sfasu.edu for more information.

Phi Alpha Kappa - promotes financial literacy, the formation of a network between current students and alumni in the financial sectors, and extracurricular interaction between faculty and students. Open to all majors. Visit the Department of Economics and Finance website for more information.

Sports Business Society - an organization open to all majors that aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of its members about the sports industry through conferences, case competitions, guest speakers and internship opportunities.
