Our Staff

Our staff is licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. Our counselors belong to the National Board for Certified Counselors.

Director

Jill Milem (she/her/hers)
Jill Milem (she/her/hers) - Director of Counseling Services Educational Background: MEd, LPC-S, Certified QPR Trainer
Ms. Milem received a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL and a Master of Education in Counseling from SFA. She worked in private psychiatric settings and in a domestic violence shelter prior to joining Counseling Services in 1992.

Counselors

Ron Smith (he/him/his)
Ron Smith (he/him/his) - Counselor Educational Background: MA, LPC, NCC, Certified QPR Trainer
Mr. Smith received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS, and spent more than two decades in the petrochemical industry. Mr. Smith earned a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from SFA in 2005. He provided counseling services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse for a private non-profit agency elsewhere in East Texas before joining our staff.
Jennifer Klingenberg (she/her/hers)
Jennifer Klingenberg (she/her/hers) - Counselor Educational Background: MA, LPC, Certified QPR Trainer
Mrs. Klingenberg received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Arts in Psychology from SFA.
Samantha Hosea (she/her/hers)
Samantha Hosea (she/her/hers) - Counselor Educational Background: MA, LPC, Certified QPR Trainer
Mrs. Hosea received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Arts in Community Mental Health Counseling from SFA. She previously worked in a local mental health agency where she focused on crisis and juvenile justice.
Clare Fite (she/her/hers)
Clare Fite (she/her/hers) - Counselor Educational Background: MS, LPC, LCDC, Certified QPR Trainer
Mrs. Fite received her Masters of Science in Professional Counseling and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Addiction Treatment Services. She has provided counseling services to adolescents and adults in rural areas including those who have been victims of violence and those in crisis.
Prici A. Ceja (she/her/hers)
Prici A. Ceja (she/her/hers) - Counselor Educational Background: MA, LPC, Certified QPR Trainer Research/Areas of Interest: Bilingual (Spanish)
Mrs. Ceja received her Bachelor of Science from Lamar University and her Master of Arts from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has experience working with at risk populations as well as providing crisis intervention.
