We at Counseling Services join others in expressing our anger, compassion and sadness for all those affected by race- based injustice, and stand in solidarity against systemic racism and oppression. As counselors we have explicit ethical guidelines regarding the promotion of social justice and work towards providing all of our students with culturally competent care. We recognize that our department lacks the representation that would best reflect and support our diverse student population, and are actively working to address this issue.
